Edasich

Edasich or Iota Draconis is the first red giant around which a planet was discovered. This has 8.9 times the mass of Jupiter and orbits its star in 0.39 to 2.1 AU every 536 days.
This highly elliptic track doesn't allow any other planets near the star, so that even when it was a main sequence star long ago life there wasn't possible.
