W43AThe dying star is in its earliest stage of becoming a Planetary Nebula, a process that will take several thousand years. Since about 1960 it emits two jets, bundled by magnetic fields. These contain much gaseous water which generates masers.Possibly the star has a companion in a distance of 70 AU.
