Tycho G

In 1572 Tycho Brahe discovered a supernova of type Ia. The exploding white dwarf was destroyed completely, but its companion, the yellow subgiant Tycho G, got a hefty kick and shoots away now from the place of the explosion with 136 km/s.

Constellation: Cassiopeia
Distance: 10 000 light-years
Spectral class: G0 - G2
