Outcast Star HVS1

The star with the catalog number SDSS J090745.0+24507 shoots with 2.4 million kilometers per hour out of the center of the Milky Way. This is fast enough to leave the galaxy whose frontier it already reached. On its way it passed already 195 000 light-years.
To this enormous speed it was accelerated by the black hole Sagittarius A*. Long ago it formed next to this in a huge stellar nursery as a double star. Its former partner was drawn into the orbit of the black hole and swallowed.

Constellation: Hydra
Age: 80 million years
Distance: circa 200 000 light-years
