The most famous planetary nebula and one of the most beautiful. The white dwarf in its center has a surface temperature of 100 000 - 120 000 kelvin and is slowly cooling while the nebula fades away.
The progenitor star was probably sunlike before it became a red giant and casted away its hull.

Constellation: Lyra
