Palomar 5

This is one of the smallest known globular clusters. Every few hundred million years it crosses our Milky Way and then looses many stars to it. The next crossing will happen in about 110 million years. Probably nothing will remain of Palomar 5 then.

Distance: 75 700 light-years
Visual magnitude: 11.75
Complete mass: 5000 * Sun
Complete diameter: 156 light-years
