Galaxy Virgo A

The elliptic giant galaxy M 87 is also a strong radio source and therefore got the name Virgo A. From its center a 5000 light-years long jet originates. The galaxy is surrounded by about 15 000 globular clusters, our Milky Way in contrast by only 200.
