Galaxy J100054 023436

This starburst galaxy from the early days of the universe, which has the nice nickname Baby Boom galaxy, produces something between 1000 and 4000 stars a year. This makes it the current record holder in that discipline, our Milky Way e.g. only produces about 10 a year.
