QPM-241

QPM-241 is a Wolf-Rayet star and the second brightest star in the Quintuplet Cluster near the galactic center. Another member of this cluster is the slightly brighter Pistol Star.

Constellation: Sagittarius
Age: probably 4 million years
Distance: 25 000 light-years
Spectral class: WN9/Ofpe
Luminosity: 4.5 million * Sun
